It’s October! That means it’s time for the beer, brats, goodies aand good-times of Jacksonville’s Oktoberfest.
Sweet Treats for Oktoberfest
Our Sweet Treats Trailer will be at Oktoberfest again this year. American Dream Cakes has been involved with Oktoberfest since the festival began. It’s a local favorite aand for a good cause – more about that later.
This year you can expect to see traditional German flavors like Black Forrest gourmet cupcakes aand Lebkuchen cookies in the Sweet Treats Trailer at the festival, but there will be plenty of other delicious flavors as well. We’ll have a variety of gourmet cupcake flavors with other sweets like sugar cookies aand cheesecake-pops. If the weather turns chilly by Oktoberfest, we’ll also have hot coffee aand hot cocoa.
Good Oktoberfest for Good Outreach
Oktoberfest is a three-day celebration that includes a Pageant, a Glow Color Run, live entertainment, aand plenty of activities for children aand adults. Proceeds from the festival benefit Onslow Community Outreach, a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 1990. Onslow Community Outreach provides for the basic human care needs of economically vulnerable aand medically at-risk residents of Onslow County. Outreach Programs include Soup Kitchen, Homeless Shelter, free medical aand dental clinics aand Christmas Cheer. Collectively, programs impact aand change lives of almost 9,000 Onslow residents.
